Need

Paperwork causes headaches in any industry, but when you are a nurse trying to care for several patients, it may be the last thing on your mind.

Case management was born out of the need to give healthcare personnel back valuable time and lessen their pain points within the case management of their patients. Our customers helped us identify industry needs that center on combining and streamlining common infection prevention and control program elements. Whether it's to eliminate duplicate programs, reduce time spent entering data, or a desire to elevate quality care through infection control, Case Management will continue to provide features that solve industry needs without creating more work. Currently, many senior living communities are suffering penalties and fines for incorrect reporting to the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN). Our product can help resolve this issue for many communities with the addition of reporting tools specifically designed with these NHSN reports in mind.

Competitor Research

We primarily looked at PPC, HealthConnex, MatrixCare for market research. Here were the main takeaways:

Research & Planning

We gathered a panel of field experts to consult when creating this project. The panel consisted of Nurses, NPs, and various healthcare admins. Here are some pain points concluded from the interviews: ‍

  • High staff turnover: 79%
  • Too many processes to manage and to teach in the short onboarding time period
  • Zone management and case management don't communicate in most competitors' software
  • No easy way to export the details necessary for NHSN Staff and Personal Impact Report
  • Nurses have a hard time reporting on CDIFF cases vs COVID-19 (organism types) cases
